CELLAR DARLING launch video for ‘Six Days’
Switzerland’s New Wave Of Folk Rock highflyers, CELLAR DARLING, just returned from their mostly sold-out tour with DELAIN. With no time to catch their breath, Anna Murphy, Merlin Sutter and Ivo Henzi will set off this Saturday on another extensive tour together with LACUNA COIL in support of their debut album »This Is The Sound«. This is a great opportunity for every single European fan out there who hasn’t been able to catch the band live yet!
Right in time for the kickoff on November 11th, CELLAR DARLING are launching the animated music video to their captivating song ‘Six Days’. Watch it here:
“It‘s the sixth of November. A good day to present you the video to our song ‘Six Days’, a dark and abstract story about the last man left on earth. We‘ve always wanted this special song to have a visual representation and we knew immediately that if we ever could realise this project, the man for it would be our favourite artist Costin Chioreanu.
Without any guidelines he has managed to capture the atmosphere perfectly. The video really shows what was inside Anna’s head when she wrote the lyrics and recorded the first demo in the middle of the night. When we further worked on this song, we realised once more that we are not really bound to one style of music and that we have the freedom to expand our horizon even more – that‘s why this song will always have a special meaning to us. We hope you love it as much as we do!”
– Anna, Ivo & Merlin
Minneriket – An All Too Human Heart SINGLE / LYRIC VIDEO
Norwegian Romantic Black Metal band Minneriket announces the album “Anima Sola” to be unleashed January of 2018, and in anticipation of the debut of what will be the band’s fourth full-length album, the single and lyric video for the track “An All Too Human Heart” can be seen and heard here:
“An all too human heart” is the culmination of a mental fire and ice. The forces of Muspell and Nivl collided into a frenzy of poetic lyrics and hard riffs, willing this song to be a revolt against myself and my own myth. It echoes the works of Aleister Crowley and John Muir, and certain lines of the lyrics were written all the way back in 2005. It’s the most personally challenging and painful song I’ve ever done, because I had to work through so many demons in order to clear the right path for it to take shape and become what it wanted to be. To me this song is like looking into a broken mirror, not knowing if the cracks are in the glass or in yourself. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what about the darkness? – Stein Akslen, Minneriket (2017)
