EVIL INVADERS – Release Special 7’’ Vinyl Single & New Music Video For “Broken Dreams In Isolation”

Following extensive touring in support of their debut album Pulses Of Pleasure (2015) and follow-up EP In For The Kill, EVIL INVADERS went a step further capturing adrenaline and sheer energy on their most recent release Feed Me Violence.

Now they have added the cherry on the top with a very special 2 track 7’’ vinyl release for “Broken Dreams In Isolation”! The B-side is a cover track for “The Unholy” of Savatage! “Broken Dreams In Isolation” is without a doubt the song that stands out the most of EVIL INVADER’s entire repertoire so far.

The band gives further insight and explains:
“We wanted to release this track as a single a while ago, but since we weren’t entirely satisfied with the overall sound of our latest album ‘Feed Me Violence’ we thought ‘Broken Dreams In Isolation’ deserved better, so we re-recorded, re-mixed it and had it mastered at Fascination Street Studios (Arch Enemy, Kreator, Behemoth,…) to give the track the sound it deserves. The result definitely took our sound to a higher level and we hope people will really hear the difference between the previous version and the new one.”

Apart from the music, the lyrics of this song tell a slightly “deeper” story than most of their lyrics, so the band decided to shoot a special music video for this one. No band performance this time, but some darker stuff with some really cool story lines. “Coming up with a cool concept was a real challenge, but very exciting to be part of!” adds singer Joe.

„While dreaming the weirdest pictures appear as ordinary things, magic is taken for granted, time doesn’t exist. There is only truth and insanity, and the carousel of figures and props in “Dirty Mind” revolves around them. The video is the filmic debut-piece of our bassist Heidi Fial.“ The band continues: “On Red Rain Tires we created floating structures within the songs to dive into,“ the band comments. „It’s full of weird but yet precise sonic landscapes and still in constant touch with the rough spirit of long-forgotten prison songs. THE OCEAN: German Post-Rock Collective To Stream New Track “Permian: The Great Dying”

German Post-Rock/Metal Outfit The Ocean Collective just unleashed a brand-new track some minutes ago. The track “Permian: The Great Dying” is taken from the band’s upcoming album “Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic” which will be released via Metal Blade (CD) and Pelagic Records (LP) on November 2. Expansive, all-encompassing, reaching extraordinary depths…all can be said about both the dark abyss that forms the vast majority of our planet, and the band from which it takes its name. Today, The Ocean Collective announces their massive two-part return, four years in the making. This November, Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic will be released, with Phanerozoic II to follow in 2020.

The Ocean marks their rebirth with “Permian,” a nine-minute epic about the The Great Dying. Explains guitarist and primary songwriter Robin Staps, “About 90% of all life on Earth was wiped out during this mass extinction event at the end of the Permian period, 250 million years ago. The most probable scenario is that The Great Dying was caused by increased volcanic activity inducing a global warming of about five degrees, which led to widespread ocean anoxia and the release of large amounts of methane gas from shallow seabeds into the atmosphere. This fast release of methane, a greenhouse gas, caused even further warming.”

All of this occurred long before humanity appeared on the map, yet the effects of this global warming cannot be ignored. Says Robin, “There is no reason to assume that the results of the current human-caused warming would not be, at best, similarly devastating. The same increase in global temperatures that happened over the course of at least 150,000 years at the end of the Permian is likely to happen in just a few hundred years now. Looking at the five mass extinction events during the Phanerozoic eon reminds us that even without human impact, Earth has the power and potential to wipe out humanity in its entirety, at any given moment in time.”

Ebbs and flows of proggy melodies, crushing guitars, swelling strings and powerful vocals match the heavy lyrical themes The Ocean has made its signature. Phanerozoic I is now available for preorder, along with meticulously designed merch bundles, something for which they’ve become known, and will be released November 2 via Metal Blade Records and the band’s own Pelagic Records.
